    losing hard drive space

    hi
    i seem to be running out of space on my hard drive, out of 68gb it tells me i have only 290kb left yet if i go onto add/remove programs i have hardly anything installed,i have another hard drive what i use for downloading music and out of 60gb i still have 40gb left on that one. any ideas???.

      Viruses have been know to fill up hard drives as well.

        thanks mayers57 i Will give that a go.

        allthough my son may have found the problem, he found some hidden files in our cd/dvd coppier sonic record now, it is supposed to copy a temporary file on the hard drive but it appears to have saved them for some reason, now we deleted them and released a massive 42gb.

        All burner programs move/copy whatever is being burned to a Temp file...
        Set the preferences in your burning app to remove them after the burn is finalised.
