    Software Crash during video import
    « on: February 02, 2009, 09:04:30 AM »
Well, I've had Adobe Premier for a couple weeks now, and haven't, until today, tried importing more than one video file into a project. The first one goes in just fine (these are small clips, about 15 MB, MPEG), but if I try to import a second video file, the program crashes. I tried the same thing in Windows Movie Maker with the exact same effect.

My computer should be able to handle this sort of thing. I have a dual core 3 GHz processor, 4 GB of RAM, and an nVidia GeForce GTX 260 (896 MB) graphics card, running Windows Vista SP1. I even increased my computer's virtual memory (from 1 G to 4 G), with no difference.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT:  Could it be my hard drive?  It's a few years old.

Nevermind :)  Apparently Premier doesn't like MPEG files, so I just need to convert them.
