Audio shudder
« on: March 08, 2009, 04:13:24 PM »
HP Pavillion laptop
Win Vista
3gb RAM
Plenty of hard drive space

After boot, can play music fine but after a while, I get a 'shudder' in my audio with either Win Media Player or iTunes.

Read on another post could be sound card drivers so will check and reinstall but would be grateful for other ideas.

Thanks,
-Mike

MikeGoodfellow,Welcome to the CH forums. Download VLC Media Player (it's free) and try your same media files again and see if that solves the problem. VLC has more audio codecs than most other audio players and if it solves the problem then it was a lack of certain codecs that was the problem. goodluck, truenorth
P.S. Only do this if after the reinstall of the sound card drivers doesn't work (unless of course you would like to have another media player--does video as well.
