Modem
« on: April 24, 2005, 10:32:23 AM »
After a lightning storm, my telephones wouldn't work.  In tracking down the problem, I discovered that when I unplugged the phone line to a computer modem, the phones worked fine.  Apparently the modem is in the "on line" position and is stuck there.  Is there a way to cure this, or is it fried & need to be replaced?   Thanks.

I'm guessing that this is a dial-up connection?

It's fried, replace it.
