Another option...although one already seems to be provided, is to run a program called DOS-Box.

    If you manage to get this running again, the program appears to have the option of saving your file(s) in GEDCOM format.

    It would be a very good idea to do this, as GEDCOM is a universal format, used by all respectable Genealogy Software and will be easy to load into other packages, in the future.
    If you have spent many long hours recording all your data, this will preserve it for you.
