Clicking HD is usually bad news. It may be ready to go south.

Let's find out what is indexing the drive first...
      Turn off Norton...does it stop ? ?
If not DLoad and install Process Explorer...FREE.

Yes I Have it & there are 2 Norton things that won't shut off and will not allow me access. I also downloaded the Norton Removal tool & ERUNT  & Made a backup of my Reg BUT I don't Know what to do if there is a prob. after that or what to do with my Reg Copy if I need to......I read the thread about Removing the Norton Virus but that's as far as it went. There are still 2 norton[Symantec Settings Mgr, Event Mgr, &LicNetConnect], oh more Symantec AppCore & Core LC....I Uninstalled using Windows then got spooked to go any further and none of the rest of this norton can be shut off ?????
