    Edit the image to include transparency.

      An image editing program. pretty much anything but paint. photoshop. Paint Shop pro- I think Paint.NET can as well, you miht wanna check that out since it's free.

      Start by making it smaller...after all transparency should be easier on a smaller image...no ? ?

      true, in fact, the optimal size is 1 pixel by 1 pixel.
