    Television as second monitor
    « on: February 20, 2009, 11:17:58 AM »
I just purchased my new computer, and just for fun decided to connect my TV as a second monitor.  It is a Emerson EWL20S5 B, not sure the specifications on it to be honest.  I've tried 3 different ways: S-video to S-video, DVI to TV's component imput, and S-video to component imput.  The only one that functioned at all was the s-video to s-video.  Is there a reason that neither of the other's are working, or is there something I need to do first in order to get a better picture quality than just a s-video connection?  Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

    Welcome Aboard...
We know about the TV but nothing about the PC in question or the vid card.
Post more details and someone will be along shortly...
