Power question
« on: February 23, 2009, 06:48:59 PM »
Hi, my question is if I have a computer with 500 watts power supply and its plugged into a APC ups that is only capable of producing 300 watts (at least that's its specification), does it mean that when my computer tries to draw in more than 300 watts, it wont be able to and so shut off? Thank you for any reply.

No.
It means the UPS puts out 300 Watts for a period of time in a power outage...it does not restrict the PSU from doing it's thing...
Why ? Are you experiencing abnormal shutdowns ? ?
