installing software

 :-/ in trying to install software from a cd i get a message
"windows\system32\autoexec.nt. system file is not suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft windows applications" i don''t know what it is or how to change it.
please tell me steps to install my software.

    It's ok... I have the solution... (I had the same problem)... See this link from Microsoft... http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;324767 ... Note: You will need your Windows XP (or other OS) CD to perform this action...
