Please Help, None of my audio devices work. It says there is no audio device!

Have you tried Windows Update to see if it has a driver there?

Never use Windows Updates to update non-M$ driver.

In any case, the page lists your computer as XPS/Dimension 400/9150. Is this correct?
Then, your audio driver is listed as SigmaTel SIGMATEL STAC 92XX C-Major HD Audio. Is this, what you tried to install?
On the other hand, Everest shows Intel Lakeport i945G/P chipset, and Intel 82801GB ICH7 - High Definition Audio Controller audio.

If none works, I'd assume sound chip being busted.

i woouldnt doubt the chip being f'd up

Not to worry. Sound cards start at about 15 bucks.

Pretty easy.
It comes as a PCI card. You open the case, put the card into the slot, start the computer, and Windows will detect the card. You install a driver form provided CD, and you're done.
