ignore this clicked on new poll by mistake
    « on: March 02, 2009, 11:27:53 AM »
I have a Toshiba Satalite with vista home premium and I am having problems with my screen flashing when I first login. The screen turns black and then turns blue for like two or three seconds.  Also over the pass few days I have lost about 4 or 5 GB of free space on my hard drive and have no idea where it went.  Also malewarebytes and trend micro didn't fix the problem. Please tell me what I can do to fix this problem.

Sounds like a hardware or maybe software issue.

    Moved to Windows forum.

    Which Satellite model?
300 series are known for developing video chip issues.

I don't believe this has anything to do with video becuase I have talked to someone else who has had this problem and he reinstalled the video driver and nothing worked. He ended up having to do a system recovery.  But before I do a system recovery I would like to know if anyone else has had this problem and what they did to solve it.

Can i ask why you wouldn't want to attempt re-installing the video drivers ? ?
        It won't hurt...trust us.

Connect external monitor, and see, if same thing happens.
