phone makes internet go down

Hey everyone,

I have DSL internet connected in my little brother's room to a lynksys wrt150 n wireless router. We just got a new phone and we moved the old phone into my parent's bedroom. But now whenever they go to use the phone in their bedroom, the dsl goes down (modem's dsl light blinks slowly until phone is hung up then comes back) I don't know what could be causing this and could use some suggestions, it would be very helpful! Thanks!

The new telephone is causing RFI (radio frequency interferance) because it is operating on a frequency very near you wireless routers. Change the channel on the router from 2 to 6 or visa versa. That should correct the problem.

is the old phone & dsl connection are on the same phone number?

if it is, i suspect it's the splitter.
