IE wont open

Hi all

I have recently downloaded the latest version of ie on my work computer. Now it will not open. When I click on it, it just flashes on the screen and then closes.

Obviously I can't  re- download it, but can I transfer it from my home computer,using a memory stick, and if so how.

Both computers are on XP.

IE 8?

IE 8 is in beta stages. Uninstall it.

No it was IE 7.   My problem is that without ie I cant re download it. I want to know how to transfer from my other computer .

Try Firefox. It's faster and safer than IE.

ok I'll try firefox. Can you tell me how I get on my computer as I dont have any way of connecting without ie.

Re-reading your post give me suspicion of a virus of some sort.
You might be better off check if it is.

I do appreciate your help, but I have a feeling something went wrong while i was downloading IE. Is it not possible to just uninstall it. Then to copy IE off my other computer, and the put it on the faulty one. Or even to download Firefox onto the other computer and put it on the faulty one.
