    No Video for Monitor
    « on: March 11, 2009, 06:45:01 PM »
Recently I decided to hook up my computer and my TV (which is actually a giant monitor (Pioneer P55A5)). After receiving all of the things I ordered, I attempted to connect my TV and computer before wiring through the walls.  Surprise, the video doesn't work. Sound is being transmitted, but no video is being displayed.

When ever I attempt to do anything with the second monitor (TV) in Display Settings, it just reverts back to default settings (and does this with other programs I have, such as UltraMon).

In the Device Manager it doesn't list my TV until I "Scan for hardware changes", in which it will then call it a "Generic Non-PnP Monitor".

I have checked for new drivers with no luck... The audio is transmitted fine, just no video (I'm using an RCA cable).

    Thanks in advanced!

      Vista Home Edition 32 bit.

      It's a PC.

I am using an ATI Raedon 3870 graphics card.

Go into your Control Panel and setup the new monitor. That should help.

That doesn't explain anything... What would I go to?
