Okay, I admit it. I'm a novice when it comes to computers.

Recently, we purchased an ACER computer that runs on Vista with a 64 bit processor. We have had a doozy of a time trying to get a printer hooked up that woks. We have tied two HP All-In-One" printers. Neither one worked. A friend of ours said that we need to purchase a printers that is compatible with 64 bit processors.

Any recommendations on what we do? Recommended printers? Other suggestions?

Help. I think my wife will soon go nuts if we don't get a printer to work with this computer. Our kids need a printer for their homework assignments.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

How old are these printers ? ?
Visit the HP site and DLoad the Vista 64bit drivers for them.
Uninstall any HP software on the machine and leave the printer unplugged.
Re-install the HP DLoad and it will tell you when to hook up the printer in the install process...
