Webcam and wireless. Bad mix?

I recently bought a Dell laptop with built in webcam. When I connect it to the modem the webcam works fine, no problems. But when I use wireless, I can receive other people's webcam images, but not send my own. Is this just because I have bad internet or can it be fixed?

How are you trying to to a video conference?

If you go to Device Manager, are there any Yellow Question or Exclamation Marks?
