hi,

i have a R42 IBM thinkpad with 256 MB Ram and 40GB hard disk. Can i upgrade it to 1GB or more Ram and also to a 160GB or more hard disk.PLease do also let me know if I need any further changes in the hardware to make.Also what would be the approximate cost for getting it upgraded.I am a user from India location.

    A laptop would be hard to upgrade.  :P

    But RAM would be easier to upgrade compared to Harddrive.

    Note: Laptop RAM and desktop RAM is different, and so, when you buy the RAM, you must make sure it is laptop RAM.
    Please do not call your computer stupid when it breaks or lags. Computers can only do what they are programmed to. and thus, often it is the user that is stupid. GET MY DRIFT?
