Well, i lost my CD and called ms, they said they can give me another one assuming i dont have the OEM version of vista?

Now how do i know if i have the OEM version.

As i have the cd case, and i think the manual?

The computer was built by my local computer store.
Do you think they use OEM versions?

From the start menu, or the desktop right click "My Computer" and select Properties. A window full of info will appear - at the bottom of that window, under the heading Windows Activation you'll see your Product ID - a long string of numbers and letters. If it includes the letters OEM, you have an OEM version of Vista.

Go back to the people who built the computer. If they are reputable, I'm sure they will help you out.
