WEP Printer on WPA Network, possible?
    « on: March 29, 2009, 10:47:45 AM »
    Hi.
Is there anything at all that can get the printer to work wireless on the network?
    Here is what I know.

The printer is WEP not WPA. The network is WPA-PSK and would like to stay that way.

Is  there anything that can be bought or done to allow this printer to work wireless on the network?

If the printer is WEP then the network has to be set to a WEP password as it won't recognise the WPA standard.

Or you'll need to get a newer printer that accepts WPA.

Seems I forgot what I already knew.
Ok, this is the flavors available...

Use a wireless G USB print server or hardwire.
Think I will just run the extra wire and spare the expense of more hardware.

        Thanks.
