CD Drive
« on: June 26, 2005, 06:48:47 PM »
All right. Started up my computer today and my CD Drive was totally...dead I guess. CD's and CD ROMS won't boot up, and when I go to My Computer, the floppy drive is the only one that's visible. Can anyone tell me what the heck happened? I deleted some things to clear up space yesterday but only stuff like AIM. Thanks.
P.S. (try to keep answer in laymans terms-im an idiot)

Ok, did that, but it still says the computer's unable to connect with the drive. When I check the status, it says everything's fine but then there's a yellow and black exclamation point next to it.

Double click on the exclamation point entry and tell us the error code, if there is one.

1. Does the CD-ROM drive still functioning mechanically wise?
