computer boots-no graphics on monitor-tried all hardware on friends computer except memory-works. Replaced motherboard-same problem.

how far in the boot process do you get?

have made any hardware/software changes

can you boot in safemode?

have you tried to do the "last good configuration option"?

no new hardware/software changes
monitor/video card works but doesnt seem to be communicating with computer nothing shows on monitor-completely blank
cant reboot at all

are the cables in back of the tower/desktop properly??and the monitor is switched on!is this a pc or is it a laptop!:)

One thing you might check too use a felt pad when you screw the motherboard into the stud underneath the motherboard, otherwise the metal screw will touch something metal on the motherboard and cause it to short out, where it doesn't boot.  Also, check the fan and make sure it is powerful enough to cool the processor, otherwise it may damage it - causing it not to boot... just a couple suggestions...
