    Windows 2000 log in
    « on: April 16, 2009, 11:00:26 PM »
I brought a Windows 2000 PC into my home & wanted to add it to the existing workgroup. Originially it was part of a domain (- I have the User ID & password for this that enabled me to log on). After I changed the settings to workgroup & entered the workgroup name on the 2000 PC - I re-booted.
Now I can not log on using either the old domain ID or the workgroup ID.
What the *censored* have I done? Does anybody have an idea?

That shouldn't have done anything to the login.  As long as you didn't add it to another domain.

        Hello jackw

When u say can not log on. Does it state any messages, error? Try starting in Safe mode and see if it give a account name. Write back and let us know. We can probably give u some more help.

Looks like I've solved this log-in issue. All I needed was the user ID for administrator & respective password.
          Thanks anyways
