when restart explore goes to porn site
« on: May 08, 2005, 06:22:06 AM »
Goggle is my home page. However, when I "restart" the computer it automatically starts Explorer and brings it to a porn site. I check my homepage and it is still Google. Why is this happening and how can I get it to stop?

sounds like a hijacking program has written to your registry. If it is always the same site you are taken to, start regedit and do a search for the url of the site you are taken too. If the search finds some entries, then post back and you can be coached by someone on how to remove it - but be SURE to back up the registry first before doing any editing. Are you running any anti virus or trojan software?

This is the act of spyware or a virus... Do you have protection for both?
