Panasonic camcorder worked with XP but not with Vista
    « on: March 17, 2008, 06:16:46 PM »
I have a four-year-old Panasonic PV-GS120 camcorder that I was able to use with Pinnacle Studio with Windows XP.  I tried to edit the movie with Windows Movie Maker in Vista Home Premium, but it failed to recognize the camcorder.  Surprisingly, when I first introduced the camcorder to the computer, Vista looked like it was uploading drivers for the camcorder.  After this it did not recognize the camcorder.  Does anyone know how to get Vista to recognize my camcorder.  Do I need to use different software?

Travel to Panasonic 's site to see if they have an updated driver for Vista...

I just recieved my new computer with Vista, identical problem to the one you described with the pv-gs120 (assuming you were connecting via firewire).  How did you solve your problem?
