    Difference between photo ink and regular ink?

    What is the difference between regular ink and photo ink (eg cyan and photo cyan)?

    Lots. One printer can require a different ink than another printer.
    Inks are made to meet the printer design requirements. The ink must dry on contact but stay fresh in the cartridge.  Not an easy trick with hi-speed inherit printers.
