you'll need to check the CMOS for settings related to boot order and IDE/SATA.
Thank you it was my cmos setup I tried it and it worked out now I have the drive working but it has a partition in it because it was the boot drive in old computer and now I just want the plain whole 200 GB drive NO partitions.
Currently it looks like this:
6.01 GB Healthy EISA configuration
E: 13.97 GB Primary Partition
F: 166.33 GB Primary Partition
The 6GB is from the hard drive being set up with the master info on it if the computer crashed
for a restore option but I obviously do not need that any more I just want a formated 200GB hard drive to use. Thank you in advance.
