Yet another cannot update windows problem

Howdy, I have Windows Home Premium Vista SP 1. I'm running McAfee Security Centre (last time I ever invest in them).  I constantly get redirected whenever I do a search on google. I can't update either Microsoft or McAfee without first reinstalling. And I get redirected to google.com every time I got to windows.microsoft.com.
I have a hijackthis log attatched as well.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Can't really see anything suspicious in there, but im not an expert in those logs. Apart from some port-opening programs i don't see much.

This might be a firewall issue (windows firewall conflicting with mcaffee or an older firewall which you may have had). Have you bought McAfee recently?

So no one has any ideas? I know you dont want bumping, yet its been over a month since anyone bar dannyz and kpac said anything :S Any help would really be appreciated.

Sorry mate, I did what I could But SUPERantiSpywares download page seems to be broken and I cant even get to  Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. They're telling me they're down :S


Correction: I've downloaded mbam. I cant get it to start now

I know how to help you but I'm not authorized to give such advice. About the only advice I can give you is to remove uTorrent which is a P2P program and the malware removal experts on this forum will not do anything with your problem until this is uninstalled. Go to Control Panel, Program and Features and uninstall uTorrent. Do you mean MBAM will not run or it will not install?

That is not true at all. You can keep it installed if you want, but P2P programs are the most likely place your problems are coming from.

Hmm, I'll remove it shortly then, as soon as I've got this episode of csi my gf missed with her favourite singer :S
I can't get to the pages for the updates on either SAS or MBAM the websites being blocked, then when I dled mbam from another site I had to rename it to run at all. As it seems its being blocked. I also seem to be getting quite a few blue screens of late...

It came up as if I was... 20/20 :S I dont use a proxy server that I know of, at the best I have a w/lan?

I have no idea what happened but all of a sudden everything let up. I now can update Windows and have I've updated mcafee, which wont last past its expiry. I can even access the Microsoft Windows update page...

If you can though, run the scans and post the logs. The malware might not be gone.
