    Ram Dieing?
    « on: April 17, 2009, 08:06:43 AM »
My computer is a little old and slow(like me lol), but lately it's getting annoying. I can view text pages like those here just fine, but if the page has large pictures it slows down. If I go to ebay (or another site with pic's) each time I click on an item to view it gets slower. After I view 3 or 4 items it gets so slow that I have to get offline and restart. Disk cleanup doesn't help unless I restart. Any idea's?

If you have a dial up Internet, that is about what to expect.
If you like to have a better computr, but don't want to pay a lot of money, here is an idea.
Right now it is a buyers market for Refurbished Band Name computers.
    For example: Dell OptiPlex Desktops

    http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&hs=b9p&ei=sp3oSfumEJWmtAP2vcj1AQ&resnum=0&q=Dell+Optiplex&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=2320911084463041171&ei=u53oSYbNA6ektAOguqjjAQ&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&resnum=5&ct=result#ps-sellers

Just search on Google for Used PCs and find lots of bargains. Important, find a dealer with a god reputation and who offers a warranty.

I got one and am very happy with it. Just 'casue I am 70, my computer does not have to be so old!

And yet, your so very youthfully jubilant!  :)
