    DVD-RW Problem
    « on: April 30, 2009, 04:56:24 PM »
Just recently my DVD-RW was working fine when all of a sudden it stopped playing any form of DVD, i can still use it as a CD reading drive but nothing else, it is an Atapi DVD Dual 4XMax. Could this be an internal problem or do you think it is on the fritz and i need a new one, all answers gratefully recieved. Thank you for you time in reading this.

Many CD/DVD players/burners have different lasers for CD/DVD operations...
Sounds like the DVD one is shot.
If the unit is more than 3 years old replace it......
