We bought a home built comp at the flea mkt, has windows xp. Works great, I was just trying to make it faster so my kids would leave mine alone, well I messed up and now it won't connect to my wireless. I have a D-Link wireless, however I think I deleted some of the aps for it to work.
    Gives messages:

AirGCFG.exe  -  Entry point not found    the procedure to entry point  apsSearchInterface   could not be located in the dynamic link library wlanapi.dll

WZCSLDR2.exe  -  Entry point not found   the procedure to entry point apsInitialize   could not be located in the dynamic link library wlanapi.dll

    PLEASE HELP

Ok that all makes PERFECT sense, except the only thing that is popping up is the 'enabled section' I don't see a 'disabled section'

The best and first thing that should be done with a used PC is a format and clean install...

I guess thirding an opinion would be tertiary, but the original poster said the system was fine until the changes she made.

Why not download your D-link drivers to a usb stick, transfer, and see if that helps.

What exactly did you do to "make it faster"?

just simply faster, the kids hate waiting when they click on something.  I am now to the point I SERIOUSLY want to format and start all over, but like i said this is a home built comp that was bought at a flea market.  I have lots of hair but wow its getting thinner by the min

Well, there's slow, and then there's slow...

How long do they wait, on average, for a page to load?

pratermomma, do you have your Windows CD? You just need a CD with same version of XP (Home Edition, Professional, etc...) and the product key for that computer. There should be a sticker on the side of the computer with the product key. Do you see it?

I am sorry but what changes did you make to the system? How did you try to get the machine to work faster?

Did you make changes to IE? Or did you install software? etc...
