    Burning DVD
    « on: June 02, 2009, 11:17:18 AM »
     ???
Well, I haven't ever done this before.
But I thought I would give it a shot
    I downloaded a movie from a p2p program.
    It was an .avi file.
On windows media player it plays but there's no video, just sound.
I tried opening up "Windows DVD maker"
And it said it could not be added.
What program should I use? And how do I make sure that it will play in a dvd player?
I've been on this site before, but I forget my username and password. I'm sure somebody will be able to help me out here

Except for non-copyrighted movies (are), you have to buy them, or rent them.
There is no other legal way around.

Download a free converter.  I have never downloaded movies before - I don't use those virus filled p2p sites BUT I have converted wav files to mp3, etc.. before so I guess you can convert .avi to whatever movies are.  mpeg?  I don't know.

This is against the board rules to advice on illegal activities.
