« on: May 16, 2005, 06:28:48 PM »
I need help, I have a IBM 600X thinkpad and when I turn it on it gives me an 8611 error. How do I fix this problem. Please respond.

I need more information... Does the screen only say error 8611, or is there more? Is this a blue screen, or balck screen? Do you have virus protection? Have you made any changes to your system lately?

It is on the start up screen(black) I have virus protection and my mouse has been acting a little weird lately.

Do you have a firewall installed? Maybe someone is controlling your computer?  :o

Well, you're going to have to give me some time to research the error...

It worked before, now DNS is resolved, but can't get to server.  IBM must be having problems.
