Have an hp pavilion tx1000 laptop running windows vista  When I turn the laptop on, I see the leds light up and the fan comes on for a while.  But there is no display, no hp logo, no windows logo, nothing.  What is the problem and can it be fixed?

try hitting one of the functions keys at the top of the keyboard...like F10 or one of the other keys...... it could be that your FN key is set to toggle the screen display when the right function key is pressed
