The may computer tip is a fallacy.

So, was this your way of suggesting that the original poster run an Internet search?  Actually, your suggesting is incorrect.  You suggested the poster look for the May computer tip.  You didn't suggest the poster actually look AT the May computer tip.    ::)

The original poster's reputation is such that he does not post needlessly.

I did an internet search.  My query was probably flawed.  I did not come up with anything directly useful.

Download System Information for Windows: http://www.gtopala.com/siw-download.html to your Desktop.
        Get SIW Standalone (English-Only).
Double click on siw.exe to run the program.

        Look at Hardware>Sensors
        Are both cores listed there?

it probably wont tell you that in windows since its probably seeing it as one instead of two, it can do that.
Windows 7 RC Tester.  Working on it.  Your monitor says etchasketch on the side!

If I fall who is there to pick me up now.  I stand alone but I stand as the gaurdian for whom I wish to protect.  The sound of my blade utters my name as you fall.  For I shall not move.  For those that forsake the very people are wosres

Its in device manager in two places- the "Computer" node either is "uniprocessor" or a "multiprocessor" HAL, in addition there is a CPU object for each core.

Just don't let HAL think the mission is comprmised, and you'll be all right.   ;)

Right time frame, wrong cybernetic system.   ;D

Does make me wonder what the HAL9000 of "2001" would have done with the crew of "Lost In Space"s Jupiter II  ?

You might like this: CPU Multimeter; it does just what you want.  It can be added to your Windows Sidebar as a gadget.
