Please Help! IE Popups Even when using firefox.

Hi there.

Ok for starters: Using a newish laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium, Service pack 1.
I use avast! antivirus and malware bytes anti malware.
My main browser is firefox, I never ever ever use IE (which is installed on the laptop, latest edition).

Recently, whenever I open firefox I keep getting an IE error pop up which reads:

"An error has occurred in script on this page.
Line 670
Char 2
Error - Undetermined String Constant
Url: www.youtube.com/browse?c=15
Do you want to continue running scripts: Y/N?


I've run lots of anti malware/anti spyware programs but nothing works.

It is most likely the web page...try another page and if the error persists, reply.

Error persists even when no pages are open and firefox is closed.

When firefox is closed? Check to see that iexplore.exe and firefox.exe aren't currently running processes.

Ok, I don't think it happens when firefox is closed, but iexplorer.exe definitely isn't running.
As soon as I open firefox, no matter which page, this error appears.

Do a System Restore to day when all was well.
Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools and Click System Restore

billrich. system restore isn't the answer to everthing you know 

members here usually do that last course of anything so they will know how to fix if the problem occurs again, instead of avoiding it.
