    Screen scrolls in waves

    Hello,
    After switching from Vista to Xp, now when I use my touch pad to scroll down, the screen scrolls in waves instead of a steady scroll.I can't figure out how to correct this, if anyone has any suggestions, I would be very appriciative.
    My computer is a Compaq Presario f500.

    From the Desktop click START>right-click My Computer>properties>Hardware Tab>Device Manager

    click on the + sign next to Display Adapters, right-click on the item in the submenu, click update and see if Windows will find a better driver
