wierd xp problem with mouse

Hey all.

i have a ps2 optical mouse, not long ago it just stared 2 froze

and it really froze and i always need 2 restart computer

its happnd about 5 minuts after the windows is start...

i tryed all... i change mouse 2 usb... i change 2 another ps2

i even tried 2 erase 2 mouse and reinstall it from the hardware list...
and the error is still there...

what else can i do? thx

Do you have virus protection? Spyware protection? Have you made any changes to your system recently?

no virus for sure, 2 antivirus running
update automaticly

about the spyware im sure in 95% that im safe

i have webroot spysweeper
i have spynuker 2005
and i have spyremover

no change at windows... just got back 2 the computer one time and saw the mouse froze...

have you added any new graphics/video card to the system! is the keyboard ok!......is this a logitec mouse

no new hardware installed
nothing

the keybored is working fine
and if by logitec u mean the company of the mouse then no

i have 1 usb microsoft (optical)
and 1 range ps/2 (optical)

when i use the usb... after a few minuts its say that the usb device is now disconnected...
and i need 2 restart windows

Have you tried running a Windows Update by going to http://www.microsoft.com ?

Have you tried connecting the mouse to a different USB port?

yeh man i did, I tried about 4 difrent usb

didnt worked

but the problem is not only on usb
i told ya
i tried even a ps/2 mouse

Drivers maybe... Some drivers might conflict with each other, so maybe your drivers for one mouse, are fighting with the drivers for the other? Causing chaos?

im sure its not the drivers becouse i uninstalled every time it dont work


and even more wierd now i restart widnwos after the mouse froze

and didnt workerd
so i restart about 4 times and didnt worked either
so i put the usb mouse and the ps/2 mouse togheder
and the usb is now working
before the ps/2 stocked

now the ps/2 mouse dont work no mather what

and the usb is stock about every 5 minuts...

    Have you swapped your mouse with a known good one or are you using an adaptor to go from ps2 to usb?
