No Sound from Internet Explorer

I'm running a Gateway Laptop. XP SP2, All sounds work properly with media player.
I can view Utube/google videos but get no audio.
System settings show all is working properly through Conexant Audio driver. The only system oddity is that the Volume Icon is checked to be shown in Taskbar but does not show.

Tried "missing.reg" (Google Search Recomendation).
