display size issues

Hello Everyone

I would like to resize my screen, (not by using different resolution).
It me explain better basically I would like to add a black boarder within my screen. Has anyone got any ideas on how i can accomplish this.

It sounds a weired request but I have a projector, because of the distance from the wall the image is huge!! I cant move the projector closer, so the only work around is to make the screen appear with a black boarder around it thus making it appear smaller.

Has any one got any thoughts please

Many thanks
M

ps. I tried using the lenses on the front of the projector, also there are no "re-size" settings in the projector options.

      Hello, mbrown.
The black border can be obtained using monitor menu (stretch etc). I am not sure if it helps You with Your projector though... Try it.
