What is the difference between Serial ATA 150 and Serial ATA II?  And how do I know which one my motherboard supports?  Also, is SATA II backwards compatible with SATA 150?

I've seen that, but it doesn't answer my question.  There are hard drives labeled as SATA II, and I want to know if those are compatible with SATA 150 motherboards and if not, how I can tell if my motherboard supports it.
