Internet connection does not work

I had this same problem on Windows XP and I just switched to Linux Ubuntu but the internet still doesn't work. Windows is completely removed. I still use a Motorola SB5101 Surfboard cable modem. The same modem works fine on my laptop with both windows vista and ubuntu...?

Line 1440 says:   channel.contentType = "application/vnd.mozilla.maybe.feed";

have you tried to uninstall and install again

Re-install your Network adapter drivers....
You will probably have to set up the Network from scratch but you may get lucky...
