    Cheap Computer Parts?

    Anyone know where to get the cheapest parts? I'm trying to start up a summer project on building my own pc.

    the cheapest computer parts end up being the most expensive in the long run.

      And your intentions for the computer. High-end gaming system? Just to surf the web? Any particular operating system you had in mind? All of this will influence what hardware you should put in. (That is, if you want advice on parts.)

          I find geeks to be okay exspecially now for the time depending on what you need.  You could also try tigerdirect.

          DO NOT use tigerdirect.  Sure, some things may look cheaper but they get you in more expensive shipping and worse service and even slower shipping times compared to newegg.  With newegg it never ever takes more than 3 days

              This is strange, I've had mixed results with both.....TigerDirect shipped within 2 days to me in Toronto, great service and prices...... but when I ordered a motherboard and DDR2 from Newegg.ca, I got the MB in 5 days and then had to wait 12 days for the freakin memory needed for the motherboard, all shipped from sunny California.....Two separate shipments, two sets of packaging.....don't anticipate a company that screwed up to be in business for any length of time.
