He's not going anywhere.
He got busted by his parents for getting "B" in Spanish....

B in Spanish = no computer for a whole summer....
I'd say little bit harsh...

On the surface, it seems harsh, but we don't know the whole story.

My own experience, growing up, was that I'd better come across with the good grades in the subjects in which I was capable of those good grades.

I see both sides of this, but I think a "B" is good enough...it's not like he brought home the proverbial one-legged A.   ;)

True...a B may be a bit harsh, but it could actually be a C+ that he got bumped up to a B-, but the parents found out...that would be worse.

gees, so he really did get in trouble?   I'd say a B in Spanish is pretty good...

I would have gotten a reward for that, not punishment  ???

Reward? My mom would just say "You should be getting at least A-."

Kids in my class get "report card money"...as long as they don't fail a subject, they can rack up to $50 per subject.

It's all depends on the parents I guess.....just don't grow up beating yourself up for being a failure, if you are getting B's  cause that's just ridiculous.

Some kids probably grow up with serious confidence problems because of this---the parents

B's are the standard (or "the bar")...technically getting 100% on a test still gets you a B. If you "go above and beyond" the standard described by the government incharge of your education, you get an A (- or +).

I Didn't even get a single A in school until Grade 11. That and the subsequent year, I was on the honour roll, though.

a C is the average. C+,B and A are all higher.
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

don't mean to hijack, but how does one gets some of those cool looking full motion graphics to appear in there posts, like computeruler's and some of the other members I've seen?

Like where the signature goes, some members have some graphics down there...I want some of those   8)
