Call of duty: Modern warfare 2
« on: November 17, 2010, 06:16:46 PM »
It would seem that Modern warfare 2 has been hacked. As of about 20mins ago. The game online is now prity much unplayable as your character can jump about 200ft in the air and run at about 200mph. This is also bizarre as my character went from level 56 to 70 in one game. It also seems that everyone else has as well apart from a small few.
This is a shame if true as someone has yet again messed everything up on a small whim of being 'leet'.

It's happening again.. we cannot play a game unless a person with unlimited abilities is playing. What a shame .. I feel the ability of people to play computers is falling into a travesty.

I pity the morons that cheat and then boast about their characters or skills.
Evil is an exact science.

Agreed.

I don't mind people cheating on an offline game that is just 'there' game. That is your choice, but do no force people into dealing with your cheats online.

Most of the better online games have a pretty good anti-cheat system.

older ones do as well; for example, Quake 2 doesn't have a built-in "anti-cheat" but since players can vote to kick a player that is cheating clearly that helps to dissuade it.

EDIT: *makes a mental note to play Q2 online again some time soon*
