    problem reinstalling windows

    Hi guys, i have a dell dimension e520, I couldnt get it to boot up so im reinstalling windows, I made it to the format partition part, but wont let me select, i dont think it is reading the keyboard. There are no ps2 ports, only usb, so its a usb keyboard, doesnt seem to be working, is there something i should do first?? Cant get any further.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Have you checked the BIOS? See if USB Keyboard/Mouse is enabled.

      yes i checked bios.  It finally went when i removed mouse and left it at the format screen, then finally started formatting and is installing now.
