Seems logical Common sense for China to have more internet users than the US(heck have one of the world's largest populations)
If you base your conclusion solely on population, then obviously they would have more Internet users. But, the fact is they have had fewer than in the U.S., as the article says. And, China is just now nearing the point where they will surpass the U.S.; it's projected to happen later this year.
And, I might add, common sense would not lead to the conclusion that China would have had more Internet users all along. Why? Here's the answer, which, in my opinion, is obvious:
