Jerky Scroll Button and stopped clock

    HP A6600Pavillion
MS Vista Home Premium Edition ( X86-64-bit)
    Service Pack 1
    Logical CPU-2
    Total Phycsical Memory 3.00 GB
    MOBO FOXCONN
    BIOS Phoenix Technologies
    Intel Pentium CPU [email protected]
    Mail server: AOL
    Internet Explorer 7 or 8
    Acer Monitor
    Road Runner Broadband connection
    Anti-Virus PC SHIELD Deluxe

2 weeks ago, I had a Computer Technologist here for an "At home" service call to eliminate MALWARE . Without my knowledge or permission, she re-set a ton of my settings, including tool bars, mail  set up, version of Explorer, menu, etc. My clock has stalled out and the mouse becomes jerky in the scroll (vertical) bar and jumps back to the top of a page when I try to pull a page downward. I wish I could describe this extrememly annoying malfunction better. I ran a Restore Point to the day before she was here and retrieved some of my settings.
Does this sound like a virus infection ?
Thank you for reading this somewhat long post and trying to help me.
Also, is the message box narrative that I write , almost unreadable for other posters ? It makes reviewing message before posting impossible.

I inadverdantly hit the post command as I was typing and only part of the  message I was writing posted. I am sorry it only had the heading and I do know that it was drastically incomplete . It is my first post and I screwed that up !

      Welcome aboard :)
That computer pro wasn't that pro afterall.
Normally, when some infection is cured, restore points should be flushed clean.
Now, when you used restore point from before curing, there is a good chance, you brought some infection back.
