    Cd and Dvd rws only work for the first person to log on

    The CD and DVD rws on my computer only work for the first user to log on, does anyone know what is wrong?? ??? ???

    Can anyone help me??

    Are you using 'Fast User Switching'?

    A lot of drives/drivers don't like that.  Try actually logging off, and then using the next profile.

      That worked, but is there any way to change that?(be able to use fast user switching)

      No, if the hardware doesn't like it then the only choice is to change the hardware.

      FUS is fairly useless anyway, why would you want to use it?
