Intel Chipset Driver, Install or not?
    « on: July 09, 2009, 07:41:41 AM »
Always, when I reinstall Windows (XP) I never install Intel Chipset driver. And in the Device Manager, nothing is wrong.

so, should I install this driver?

Yep, especially if it involves the Video Card.

Probably not, but before you do:

          Is your video displaying correctly?
Have you gotten any errors recently?

            I have got no errors.

so, install this driver now, right?

Are you having other problems besides the brief moments when the video "freezes?"

It should support it, but besides your video freezing for a second, then
it seems that you should go ahead an install it.

There is never a reason to NOT install chipset drivers...
You are probably running generic Windows in their place and will most likely see a performance gain afterwards.

Unless there are complications, for example I had to reinstall my chipset drivers on my GX270 due to some problem with the main drivers, and the chipset drivers had a problem with some of the system files(Later on found out that the HD crashed)

But besides that Patio is right
